YOHO Beach Resort

Catch the tail end of summer! A great choice for a water-themed vacation in Southern Taiwan. Located in Wanlitong, Hengchun, the resort offers a quiet setting. It's about a 15-minute drive from downtown Hengchun. The resort is spacious and has plenty of rooms. We were assigned to the bicycle hotel building, which was closer to the main entrance but farther from the beach. The rooms were spacious, the air conditioning was super cold, and the bathtub was a big plus!

During the welcome party, the children were even given balloon folding lessons. The resort's highlight, of course, is the water! Head straight to the lazy river and waterslide area at the innermost beachfront location. Next door is the indoor spa. There's something for everyone, whether children or adults!

The most common complaint about the outdoor pool is its cleanliness. I often see people scooping up fallen leaves. Overall, I think it's quite nice and clean. Walking to the beach and watching the sunset at sunset is quite romantic.

The package I bought includes a complimentary "Starry Night Show" in the evening. It's a Malaysian band singing. I think this is a bit weak. It's worth going for it for about an hour. It's not worth paying for it yourself, haha.

In the evening, we drove to Hengchun Night Market for food. The hotel also has a wide selection of food options, and the prices are reasonable, not too expensive. The next day, we had breakfast at the Seaview Restaurant, which was quite good. They even had someone frying fried eggs, which was a bit funny. There's a decent selection of stir-fries, so the kids can enjoy their favorites.

After dinner, we took a stroll to Wanlitong Beach, a shell-covered beach. There were so many hermit crabs!

Then we went to the Children's Play World for the kids to let loose. There's an indoor playroom, climbing equipment, and more. Overall, I thought it was quite well-equipped. And you can still play after checking out that day—quite considerate.

The unfortunate part was that the children's pool was under renovation (tears). The hotel said they announced it on their website, but didn't send a specific email or text message. I only found out before my trip. But since everything was already planned, I couldn't move my vacation. When I arrived, I realized there didn't seem to be a children's pool, which wasn't a big deal. As long as there's water, the kids have fun, haha.

They're renovating it because it's quite old. And the children's water slide seems to get a lot of complaints. I personally think they're quite responsible.
