🍜 Finally Tried Nam Heong @ Mid Valley SouthKey JB – Worth the Wait?

We’ve always wanted to try Nam Heong but were often put off by the long queues. This time, we finally managed to get a table and gave it a go. The place was packed, which is always a good sign, though it did mean service was minimal and a little rushed.

We ordered a spread to try as much as we could:
• Wanton noodles and wanton soup – decent, springy noodles and tasty broth.
• Char siew and roasted chicken rice – both meats were nicely done with good flavour, though nothing particularly standout.
• Shredded chicken hor fun soup – comforting bowl with smooth noodles and a light, clear broth.
• Dim sum items like siew mai and har gow – fresh and tasty, above average for a casual setting.
• Washed everything down with their iced coffee, which had a nice strong kick.

Overall, the food was good and consistent, though nothing blew us away. The vibe is lively, and while service wasn’t the warmest due to the crowd, it was efficient enough. A decent spot if you’re already in the mall and don’t mind the wait.
