Peaceful Podgorica

Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro and despite this distinction it often has a very calm quiet, peaceful provincial town feel about it, it’s a very relaxing place and not full of the hustle and bustle that you would find in many other capital cities. A centuries old clocktower built by the Turks can be seen in the old town. From Podgorica, it is easy to travel to other popular Montenegrin destinations such as Budva and Kotor.
