Senior travelers often start their mornings early. On this day, we took a morning stroll across the Charles Bridge. Early mornings are highly recommended as there are fewer people around, making it a peaceful experience!
One of the statues on the Charles Bridge is of St. John of Nepomuk. It is said that touching the saint depicted on the right side of the statue's pedestal brings happiness. The golden shine makes it easy to spot.
Next, we headed to Prague Castle, for which we had purchased tickets the day before.
St. Vitus Cathedral
Absolutely breathtaking! It took over 500 years to complete. The sheer number of stained glass windows is overwhelming. The stained glass designed by Mucha is particularly famous. The grand pipe organ and the intricate decorations are also stunning. Since we visited on a cloudy morning, the slightly dim lighting added to the solemn and majestic atmosphere. Wow, I’m so glad we came here!
Savoring the experience, we moved on to our next destination.
