Melbourne: The Great Ocean Road 🚗

You have to hit the Great Ocean Road whenever you are in Melbourne. This drive wasn’t just about a destination…it was ALL about the journey. Here's one way you can do your road trip.
After you picked up your rental car, head to Torquay Beach, the iconic starting point, to kick things off.

You get the first glimpse of the ocean here, and you can admire the intense blue, almost unreal, blue ocean and majestic waves.

Pull-off between Lorne and Apollo Bay Stop and you may find the Kafe Koala and where I spotted some koalas 🐨 napping on the trees.

The main event: the Twelve Apostles. These gigantic stacks rising out of the ocean looks surreal behind a backdrop of the sunset in the evening. Get your camera ready to capture something epic.

Quick Hits:
- Torquay Beach: Iconic starting point 📍 55 Surf Coast Hwy, Torquay VIC 3228; open all day
- Lorne (chill town stop): 114 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne VIC 3232
- Apollo Bay: Coffee break heaven! 139 Great Ocean Rd, Apollo Bay VIC 3233
- Twelve Apostles: Main lookout 📍 Great Ocean Rd & Booringa Rd, Princetown VIC 3269; open 24/7
