The Thousand Islets of Qiandao Lake

Qiandao Thousand Island Lake, also known as Qiandao Lake, is a lake located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang province, People's Republic of China. It is an artificial lake created by the completion of the Xin'an River hydroelectric station in 1959. The lake has an area of 573 square kilometers and is surrounded by more than 1,078 islands, of which the largest is called the Qiandao Island. It is well known for its crystal-clear water and underwater scenery.
