This is what I consider the most regrettable mountain in China - Tianzhu Mountain

Do you know where the most regrettable mountain in China is? It's in Anhui Province, and it's because of its name. It was once the Southern Peak of the Five Great Mountains, and its scenery is even more magnificent than Huangshan. Even Li Bai didn’t want to leave after coming here. This is Anhui’s Tianzhu Mountain.

The entire Tianzhu Mountain is divided into West Gate and East Gate. The east route was closed in 2005 and remained shut for 20 years, only reopening this year.

If you want to fully experience Tianzhu Mountain, I recommend entering from the west and exiting from the east. If you don’t have enough time, the West Gate route is more classic.

After taking the Dalongwo cableway down, the hiking route begins. It’s hard to imagine that strange peaks, bizarre rocks, secluded caves, and gorges all appear on the same mountain. When you reach the main peak of Tianzhu Mountain, you’ll understand how spectacular it is to “return to Tianzhu without looking at the peak.” No wonder Li Bai said: “Strange peaks produce strange clouds, elegant trees contain elegant spirit. Qingming Wan Gong Mountain, steep and absolutely pleasing.”

The location for saving progress in the game Black Myth is also set here in Tianzhu Mountain. Since the Southern Peak title moved south, Tianzhu Mountain has also been called the “Ancient Southern Peak.”

When you walk on the cliffside plank road of Qinglong Back, beneath your feet is a bottomless abyss, and the howling mountain wind whistles in your ears. The word “dangerous” can’t fully describe the scenery here. Next time, are you ready to take the more perilous East Gate route with me?
