Tamsui Fort San Domingo | Where History Meets Scenery

Stepping into Fort San Domingo, the first thing you feel is the weight of time. This red-brick fortress has served as a stronghold for the Spanish, the Dutch, Qing Dynasty officials, and British consuls. Over the centuries, the marks of various regimes have been left here.

Strolling between the red walls and archways, you can almost imagine the foreign officials monitoring the harbor and handling diplomatic affairs in the past.
