Tsingtao Beer is an internationally renowned brand with a century-long reputation both at home and abroad. Its museum is located in Qingdao City. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and also a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
In fact, the predecessor of Tsingtao Beer was called German Beer. Its factory was funded and built by German and British businessmen in 1903. It is the first brewery in China that continues to operate to this day.
As soon as you step into the Tsingtao Beer Museum, you will see a statue with the Arabic numeral "100" in the center of the square. It is called "Ode to the Centennial" and was built in 2003 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Tsingtao Beer. There are red houses all around the square. On the roof of one of the houses, there are rows of huge beer cans. You can tell it’s a brewery without having to tell me!
The museum is divided into three visiting areas: Hall A, Hall B and Hall C. Hall A introduces the century-long history of Tsingtao Beer and exhibits many documents, reports, photos, promotional advertisements, etc., telling us the evolution of Tsingtao Beer from Germanic beer to today's Tsingtao Beer.
Hall B is the Tsingtao Beer Brewing Technology Exhibition Hall, which displays the raw materials and old equipment used in beer production and compares them with modern factories. In fact, the beer making process is not very complicated. It is just to saccharify raw materials such as malt at high temperature to make malt juice, then ferment, filter, and finally package. Various types of malt, auxiliary raw material hops, saccharification workshop, fermentation tanks and large wooden barrels for fermentation, and packaging lines are exhibited here.
The last part of Hall C is probably the most exciting part for tourists. There is a very interesting gadget here, which is the drunken hut - it actually uses people's visual illusion, and the floor is slanted, so people will feel like they are drunk and unstable after entering. There are beer-related products outside the cabin, such as various types of beer, peanut snacks, ice cream with different beer flavors, beer oil cups, etc. The most special one is the skin care products made from hops.
Every tourist who buys a ticket can get a free cup of original beer, a bag of beer beans and a cup of draft beer in the final restaurant for tourists to taste. In addition, there are sample packs of the original beer series and snacks for tourists to taste at their own expense.
After three rounds of drinks, people are still in high spirits and continue drinking. You can go to the seafood stall opposite the museum to taste the fine wine and try Qingdao's famous seafood. In fact, that is Qingdao's famous Dengzhou Road Beer Street, which is full of seafood stalls and bars under the banner of Tsingtao Beer, as well as indoor shopping, specialty dining streets and pedestrian streets, where people can "eat and drink to their heart's content, and have fun without leaving."
