Qingdao, nestled between mountains and the sea, is not only a beautiful coastal city but also a city of mountains and seas, full of exotic charm and artistic atmosphere. However, there is a "lost" attraction in Qingdao, once built at a cost of 18 billion yuan, why has it become an "empty shell" today? Curious friends may ask, where exactly is this "lost" attraction in Qingdao? What kind of unique scenery does it have? With these questions and curiosity, let's talk about Qingdao Expo Park today. The Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition Park, or Qingdao Expo Park for short, is affiliated with the Qingdao Expo Group. Located on Changshui Road, Licang District, Qingdao Expo Park covers an area of approximately 187 hectares. It opened to the public on March 28, 2015, and is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. The park inherits the concept of "Let life walk into nature" from the 2014 Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition. The park is lush with trees, the air is fresh, and there are about 1,700 plant species, with a vegetation coverage rate as high as 71%. Qingdao Expo Park was built for the World Horticultural Exposition at a cost of 18 billion yuan. There are four main venues in the park: the Theme Pavilion, the Sky-Water-Earth Pond Area, the Plant Pavilion, and the Dream Science and Technology Pavilion. Among them, the Plant Pavilion is one of the landmark buildings of the Expo Park.
