[China/Qingdao/Zhanshan Temple]

#AbsolutelyFreeTravel Zhanshan Temple in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China was built in the 1930s and is located to the east of Zhongshan Park, next to Forest Park. In the 1930s, the Kuomintang Nanjing government and Buddhist scholars who visited Qingdao raised funds to build the temple at the southern foot of Zhanshan in order to promote Buddhism in Qingdao. Between 1932 and 1944, the main buildings such as the Sanjing Hall, Daxiongbao Hall, Tianwang Hall, and Mountain Gate were completed, and in 1940, the Qingdao Zhanshan Buddhist School was opened, producing many outstanding talents.
