Strolling through Qingdao for 3 days with the sea breeze—this city is perfect for a city walk

Watching seagulls, eating seafood, chasing sunsets, enjoying fireworks—this route covers all the highlights of Qingdao

🚶‍♂️Day 1 Coastal Walking Route
📍Zhanqiao Pier
A must-visit landmark in Qingdao! Recommended to come in the evening to see flocks of seagulls circling and catch the stunning sea sunset. The sea breeze on the pier is strong, so remember to bring a jacket (personally tested, my hair got blown into a Mei Chaofeng style🤣)

📍Taidong Pedestrian Street Night Market
A 15-minute taxi ride from Zhanqiao Pier. Li Village Chuozi Meat, Sister Wang’s BBQ, Thirteen Bu Kao Dim Sum... bring a 128GB stomach and you’re good to go! There are outdoor performances on Wednesdays and weekends, with a lively atmosphere~

📍May Fourth Square
Still not enough of the night market neon lights? Then come see the light show! Every Friday and Saturday at 8 PM, the wave-shaped lights paired with the BGM of "A Laugh in the Vast Sea" instantly give you goosebumps

🎆Day 2 Romantic Blast Route
📍Shilaoren Seawater Bathing Beach
Less crowded than downtown! There’s a café called "Lang Coffee" on the beach—holding a hot latte while waiting for the sunset is super healing. On the last Saturday of each month, there’s a fireworks show over the sea (check Qingdao Bendi Bao for details). It’s recommended to bring a picnic mat and reserve your spot early

⚠️Useful Tips:
• Qingdao’s attractions are concentrated, taxi rides generally cost under 20 yuan
• Taidong Night Market is crowded on weekends, choose weekday dinner times to avoid the rush
• Dress warmly for fireworks! The sea breeze can make you question life
• The original brew at the Beer Museum is fresher than the bagged kind, perfect with barbecue

If you ask me about my impression of Qingdao? It’s probably the joy of encountering the sea around every corner and being able to scoop up seafood just by looking down!
