If you love architecture, culture, and history, this spot is a must-visit in Qingdao! Walking down the charming alleys of YinYu Lane, I stumbled upon this micro-history museum that instantly transported me back in time.
✨ About the Museum
This museum was once the former residence of Wu Tingfang – a high-ranking official of the late Qing Dynasty and the Minister of Justice. Today, it has been transformed into a beautifully curated time museum spanning two floors, each offering a completely different experience.
✅ 1st Floor – Modern European Art Exhibition
- Features paintings, sculptures, and installation art
- Quirky, thought-provoking, and visually artistic
- Great for photography lovers & creative souls
- (Note: The exhibition is seasonal and currently runs until early August)
✅ 2nd Floor – History of YinYu Lane & Old Qingdao
- Showcases the development of YinYu Lane as a historic commercial hub
- Tells the stories of former merchants, old houses, and iconic Qingdao figures
- Exhibits include vintage tiles, pipes, household items, and architectural elements
- Every corner reveals a piece of old Qingdao frozen in time
It truly feels like flipping through the pages of Qingdao’s past, drop by drop recording the memory of a city once shaped by both Eastern traditions and Western architecture.
