Mao Zedong's statue made by nature, Maogongsan

If you go a little east from Qingdao's Chengyang District, where many Koreans live, you can find Mogongsan Mountain.

Mao Zedong is still respected by many Chinese people as the person who unified China under communism.

These Mogongsan Mountains are places where rocks that resemble his shape are located.
There are several military bases in various parts of China, but the Mogongsan Mountain rocks in Qingdao are famous for their standing appearance.

It was hard to sympathize with them as a foreigner, but somehow it was interesting to see rocks that resembled each other.

Aside from those things,
Mogongsan Mountain is close to the city center,
and is at a perfect height for easy climbing.
The observation deck offers a view of the cool reservoir,
so it's a great place to climb up and down for exercise.
