This Tsingtao Beer Museum is superb, multi roomed ,an eye-catching long serving bar with lots of beer taps attached, great decor and furnishings, and lots of seating options, it's just a great beer destination. Easy to get to via Subway Line 2 station Taidong. Get out at exit A, turn left then left again into Dengzhou Road walk 200-300m…The standard adult ticket is 50RMB (80RMB will also get you a souvenir). The souvenir bottle is the highlight because you can print any photo you want. Makes great gifts for friends and family!
It is nice to visit the beer museum and learn about the history of the brewery. To do a full relaxed walk around takes about 2/3 hours and you will see the history of the beer from its German beginnings and some fun areas, including the drunk room and projections (hologram like) of ads and beer making simulations. The exhibits are well displayed and the layout takes you around part of the former brewery. Tsingtao may not be the best beer but the beer museum was a lot of fun, well maintained and clean. The museum was pretty crowded but it didn’t affect our experience. I would suggest doing this tour on a weekday and not on a public holiday or it will be crowded. The buildings themselves are interesting as is the garden area outside with some old displays and statues. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Qingdao.
