If you are tired of the grasslands and want to go to a niche travel destination for the weekend, and you want to make a round trip from Hohhot, Laoniuwan on the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia is the first choice for family leisure and fun.
The scenic area is currently working hard to become a 5A scenic area, so the overall facilities and experience are excellent. The restrooms are fragrant, the water is hot, and there are paper towels. The staff are uniformly dressed, enthusiastic, and polite. The scenic area has a Shennniu Park for children to play in, and you can also experience the integration of farming and nomadic culture. [Travel Plan]
From Hohhot, take the expressway (see P11 for details) and you can reach the scenic area in about 2.5 hours. We left Hohhot at 10:30 am on October 3, and there was no traffic on the road, and there were even few people. It takes 2–4 hours to visit the scenic area.
It is recommended to take the expressway directly, not the national highway, as we are not very confident about the road conditions of the national highway in Hohhot. [Scenic Area Parking]
