First Time in Qingyuan | Xuan Zhen Rafting is Perfect for Beginners!

For my first rafting experience, I chose Xuan Zhen, and it turned out to be a great choice! Arriving at the scenic area at noon, I first checked out the spectacular Grand Canyon before heading straight to the rafting course. The whole experience was smooth and incredibly fun!

The riverbanks are shaded with lush greenery, so you won’t be exposed to the sun 🌳. The drop is moderate yet thrilling enough, with several sharp turns that made us scream with excitement. You can even have water fights with your friends along the way! The key is to "arrive early and enjoy early"—we barely had to queue to get on the raft. I heard that at Gu Long Gorge, the wait can be 2-3 hours, which made me feel even more confident about choosing Xuan Zhen 😂.

📍 Tips for Your Visit:
✅ Arrive before 11 AM to explore the Grand Canyon first (fresh air and great photo opportunities).
✅ The rafting experience lasts about 1.5 hours; remember to bring a waterproof phone pouch and a change of clothes.
✅ You can rent slippers and water scoops on-site—must-haves for water fights!
✅ Tickets include both rafting and canyon access, making it super cost-effective.
