At dawn, the morning light gently shines, and a thin mist lightly covers the lake surface. Egrets skim over the reed marshes, stirring a few ripples. A small island in the center of the lake is connected by a winding stone bridge. On the island, an ancient pavilion with upturned eaves bears the inscription "Qingzheng Autumn View," said to be the retreat of a Ming Dynasty scholar. Climbing the pavilion to gaze afar, the layered forest is fully dyed in autumn colors, and in the distance, smoke curls from Miao village kitchens, blending with the colorful forest to form a picturesque scene. This is Guiyang’s most poetic autumn landmark—Qingzheng Red Maple Lake. It is not only a natural wonder but also a spiritual haven that integrates culture, ecology, and aesthetics. The mountain hues, lake light, red maples, and cultural heritage intertwine here to create the unique serene romance of the Southwest Plateau.
