As a parent-child blogger who travels with children all year round, this time I checked in at the Holiday Inn Resort Guantang, Qionghai, Hainan. There were both surprises and flaws. I want to share my real experience with everyone!

❤️ Advantages: MAX parent-child family friendliness!
1️⃣ Different parent-child activities from morning to night
The hotel has designed all-day activities around its own IP: float parades, masquerade balls, handmade DIY (making intangible cultural heritage lacquer fans, tiger-head hats, etc.), and even God of Wealth interactions and lion dance performances! My children basically spend the morning in Huanghuang Amusement Park, and after the cooking class, they go straight to the playground (part of it is semi-outdoor, so the air circulation is better). The children don’t want to leave at all when they play.
2️⃣ Enjoy hot springs and swimming pools, and play in the water even in winter
The hotel has its own natural hot spring pool and swimming pool. The hot spring water temperature is around 40℃ and is rich in minerals. You will feel refreshed after soaking in it! The outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by green plants, so it is not cold to play in the water under the winter sun. Parents can lie on a reclining chair and the children can have fun on their own.
3️⃣The floor-to-ceiling windows provide a view, allowing you to enjoy a lie-flat vacation
The room is small but the view is amazing! Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows are coconut groves, countryside and Baishiling Mountain views, and any shot you take will turn out to be an Instagram-style blockbuster. The butler service is considerate and responds to needs quickly, making it suitable for lazy parents.

⚠️ Disadvantages: Be cautious about hardware and cost-effectiveness!
1️⃣The basic room is small and the hardware is a bit old
The basic rooms, which cost 700-800 yuan per night, are compact and have old-fashioned bathroom facilities. The decoration is in the style of Holiday Inn, but the price is Crowne Plaza or even InterContinental 😂
2️⃣Remote location, few surrounding facilities
The hotel is located in Qionghai Hot Spring Tourism Development Zone, 8 kilometers away from the city center. There are few takeout options, so driving or taking a taxi is a must. The driving conditions at night are very bad and the lights are completely dark.
3️⃣The breakfast is terrible and the opening hours of the amusement park are confusing
The breakfast has few varieties and the taste is average, which is significantly lower than similar hotels. The outdoor playground is only open at 5pm, and can only be supported by indoor activities during the day, which is not friendly to young children.

✔️Money-saving tips: Stock up on room vouchers in advance and choose the right time to redeem them, which is more cost-effective than booking a room on a last-minute basis.
✔️Surrounding activities: Baishiling next door is known as the "No. 1 Ridge in Hainan". The main peak is 328 meters high. You can arrange hiking or take a cable car. Special activities include: via ferrata, ✔️jungle crossing, glass observation deck, rock climbing, etc.
Food recommendation: The local specialties Jiaji duck and hot spring goose are worth a try!

✍️Summary: If you are looking for hot springs and parent-child activities, this hotel is worth a try; but if you have high requirements for room quality and breakfast, it is recommended to lower your expectations or choose a higher-end brand. The warm winter climate and natural healing feeling of Qionghai, Hainan are still a plus for taking children out for a walk in winter! 🌴
