On the day I arrived in Qiqihar, the autumn sun was as soft as a block of honey that wouldn’t melt. As I stepped out of the high-speed rail station, the air carried the aroma of roasted sweet potatoes mixed with the earthy scent of grass wafting from the distant wetlands. The driver, speaking in a Northeastern accent, called out, "The autumn scenery here is stunning. Let me take you to your place." Pushing open the hotel’s door, I was greeted by a room bathed in golden light. The lobby floor was made of deep gray marble, with golden lines outlining crane feather patterns, making every step feel like walking on clouds. The front desk’s backdrop was a wall of golden hues, meticulously crafted by artisans to shimmer with delicate light. I had booked a king bed room with a bathtub, and the minimalist modern design of the approximately 30-square-meter space was truly eye-catching. The overall color scheme was dominated by sophisticated gray, paired with natural wood elements, creating a balance of coolness and warmth. The entrance featured a cleverly designed foyer with a semi-transparent frosted glass screen that divided the space without obstructing the flow of light. At the center of the room was a two-meter-wide bed dressed in snow-white Egyptian cotton linens, soft and silky to the touch. The headboard wall was covered in light gray velvet panels, minimalist in design yet full of character. With the flick of a switch, warm yellow lighting illuminated the room, adding a touch of coziness. By the window, a single armchair and a small side table formed a perfect corner for enjoying the view. I noticed the curtains were motorized, opening and closing automatically at the press of a button—a delightful touch of technology. The bathroom featured a dry and wet separation design, with the shower area and toilet each in their own space. The highlight, of course, was the freestanding bathtub. Its sleek design and white acrylic material glowed softly under the light. The hotel thoughtfully provided bath salts and bubble bath liquid, tempting me to indulge right away. The vanity area was spacious, with a mirror equipped with anti-fog functionality and built-in LED lighting, ensuring ample illumination for makeup or shaving. All hardware was finished in matte black, perfectly complementing the light gray marble countertop. The integration of technology was just right. The room was equipped with a smart control system, allowing adjustments to lighting, air conditioning, and curtains via the bedside touch panel or a mobile app. The TV was designed to rotate, ensuring a comfortable viewing angle whether seated on the sofa or lying in bed. As night fell, I filled the bathtub with hot water, sprinkled in the hotel’s pine-scented bath salts, and immersed myself in the warmth. Outside, Qiqihar’s nightscape gradually lit up, while inside, steam swirled, washing away the fatigue of travel. After the bath, I lay on the soft bed, the mattress providing just the right amount of support, and quickly drifted into sleep. This stay made me realize that great hotel design isn’t about elaborate decorations but about attention to detail and understanding travelers’ needs. This king bed room, with its minimalist modern style, created a space that was both comfortable and practical, adding a memorable touch to my trip to Qiqihar. As I checked out, I had already decided in my heart that on my next visit to Crane City, I would choose this place again as my haven.
