A Project with Potential (Needs More Maintenance)
I've visited NAPWC several times over the years, and while I appreciate the recent efforts in general cleanliness and security, the park's age is showing in certain areas. The potential here is enormous, but some facilities, particularly the older animal exhibits and certain sections of the lagoon's infrastructure, look a little neglected. For instance, the aviary was nearly empty during my last visit, which was a bit of a letdown. However, the core of the park—the vast green lawns and the towering trees—remains its saving grace. It's still a beautiful place for a break, a low-cost date, or a quick photo session. With more consistent funding and maintenance for the peripheral attractions and animal enclosures, this place could easily become a world-class ecotourism destination, truly living up to its mission of conservation and education.
