Quy Nhon - Beach town with Cham history

Quy Nhon is the capital of Binh Dinh Province (between Da Nang and Nha Trang). My main purpose of visiting this city was to appreciate the several Cham temples around the city.

I reached Quy Nhon from Nha Trang by train at Dieu Tri Station (10km away from Quy Nhon city centre). You can also fly in to Phu Cat UIH airport or use buses and vans.

Its city centre resembles that of Nha Trang with wide promenade along the beach, modern shopping malls and cafes. However, Quy Nhon is less busy.

On my Cham temple day, I rented a motobike (VND120k/day) and visited Thap Doi and Thap Bahn It. These were built during 11th-13th century. My moto had a mechanical problem, so I missed other temples.

In the evening after figuring out the moto problem, I sampled local foods at Quy Nhon Food Street.

If you travel between Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, I recommend you to make a stop in Quy Nhon for 1-2 days.
