This week’s 48h of isolation belongs to Quzhou!!
This small city becomes full of warmth and friendliness as soon as you get off the high-speed train. During the Asian Games, a kind taxi driver worried we wouldn’t find the place and waited for us underground in 38°C heat. Other sisters traveling with us at the guesthouse drove us a few kilometers to Yaowang Mountain in the Car City... The city lights are bright, and people leisurely sit by the river to cool off... A comfortable small city, a secluded Yaowang Mountain!
⛰️Yaowang Mountain
The round trip hike takes about two hours. Several waterfalls allow you to go down and play in the water. The pools are crystal clear and perfect for swimming. 🎫Free on weekdays🆓, right next to Yaowang Mountain is the Yaowang Mountain rafting! But it’s closed on rainy days... we missed it.
🔘Tips
Wear flat, comfortable sneakers. If rafting, remember to bring an extra set of clothes. There’s no sun in the mountains, so bring mosquito repellent spray. You can wear long sleeves, long pants, or long skirts. Wearing si socks seems to have some mosquito-repellent effect, probably because they fit tightly to the skin and are very sturdy and non-slip for hiking!
