Iconic Mausoleum✨

Experience one of Rabat’s most iconic landmarks “The Mausoleum of Mohammed V” where Moroccan history, architecture and reverence converge. This royal necropolis, located on the Yacoub al-Mansour esplanade opposite the Hassan Tower, houses the tombs of King Mohammed V and his sons King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.

This mausoleum is a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship with white marble exterior, green-tiled roof symbolizing the royal Alawite dynasty, lavish zellij mosaics and cedar-wood ceilings inside. The sight of royal guards standing watch adds to the solemn, dignified atmosphere.

Entrance is free of charge but you will need to dress modestly. Typical visiting hours are from about 8:00 AM until around 6:00 PM.
