Wat Chong Lom was originally called Wat Chang Lom. When you arrive at Wat Chong Lom, you must pay homage and ask for blessings from Luang Pho Kaenchan, an ancient and sacred Buddha statue that is highly respected by the people of Ratchaburi.
Luang Pho Kaenchan, the Buddha statue holding an alms bowl, is enshrined in a four-sided pavilion made of bronze. The lower part is carved from fragrant wood, sandalwood. Luang Pho Kaenchan is different from other Buddha statues holding alms bowls in that Luang Pho's alms bowl looks like it is being held in an alms bowl bag.
