Worship at Lum Mahachai Mongkol Temple, Rayong Province

🎎Wat Lum Mahachai Chumphon (Royal Monastery)
One of the oldest temples in Rayong Province. History was recorded once. In 2234, King Taksin the Great led about 500 brave soldiers to break through the Burmese siege from Ayutthaya and headed to the eastern coastal cities via the route of Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chonburi, Rayong Provinces until they set up a camp at Wat Lum Mahachai Chumphon with his personal war elephant, Pangkiribanchon. He rode this beloved war elephant and marched to conquer Chanthaburi and Trat until he succeeded before returning to reclaim Ayutthaya.

⛩️Currently, the temple is the location of the shrine of King Taksin the Great. There is a large Satue tree, over 300 years old, in front of the entrance area, where the former King Taksin brought his beloved elephant to tie and sit under this Satue tree.

🚘There is a lot of parking space inside the temple or on the road in front of the temple.
