If you have the chance to visit Khao Laem Ya in Rayong province, I highly recommend coming in the morning or evening when the sun isn’t too harsh. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset view, but I visited in the morning. After parking at the entrance, I walked in to take photos and admire the beautiful sea views. There’s a wooden bridge to stroll along and a white lighthouse that’s perfect for photography. You can also camp here as there’s a designated camping area available for just 30 THB per person. Entrance fees are 40 THB per adult for Thai nationals and 30 THB per car. From this spot, you can also visit nearby attractions like Mae Ramphueng Beach.
PS. Don’t forget to apply plenty of sunscreen—the sun is very strong!
