An alpine marvel

Tucked away in the French Alps, the Pont du Diable near Fort Victor Emmanuel is one of those places that makes you stop and just go “wow.” The old stone bridge hangs over a gorge so deep it almost feels unreal, with turquoise water crashing far below. Walking across it, you get that mix of history and adrenaline – especially with the fortress looming above. Not touristy, just raw, dramatic scenery and centuries-old engineering. Totally worth the detour if you’re in the Maurienne valley.
