[Italy🇮🇹Rome] The Colosseum is a must-see when visiting Rome!

Address: Piazza del Colosseo, Roma, Italy

Access: Right next to the subway and public bus “colosseo”!

Opening hours: Summer 8:30-19:00, Winter 8:30-17:00 (varies depending on the season) *Last admission is 1 hour before closing

Cost: 18€ (free for those under 18) Reservation required for Roma Pass

Reservation recommended! When I visited in the evening of August 2023,

I was able to enter by purchasing on the day.

However, I ended up entering an hour later because of the time designation,

and then lined up for tickets under the scorching sun...

(While waiting in line, they sell half-frozen mineral water for 2€, and everyone was grateful to buy it. Of course I did too. lol)

But it was worth the trouble to enter,

the inside tour was better than I expected.

It's no wonder it's a staple of Roman tourism👍

I usually don't like to have much prior knowledge, but
I think you'll enjoy the Colosseum more if you research its history before you go☺️
