Gazing upon the Colosseum

The Colosseum in Rome is an immense ancient amphitheatre that was in almost constant use for nearly 1000 years. The Colosseum is an iconic structure and was the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built. When visiting Rome it is a must see attraction and although it does get very packed with crowds of tourists, it’s one of those sites you have to see at least once in your life!
