⛪ Awe-Struck at the Pantheon – A Timeless Wonder in Rome

Visiting the Pantheon was one of those moments that made me stop in my tracks and just breathe it all in. Standing right in the heart of Rome, this ancient marvel felt like a gateway into history. I was blown away by how well-preserved it is — you could almost feel the echoes of the Roman Empire within its massive stone columns.

The real jaw-dropper was the dome. That oculus at the top — perfectly centered — lets in natural light that shifts with time, casting a soft glow throughout the circular interior. It felt spiritual, even without saying a word. Knowing that this dome is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world made it even more impressive.

Despite the crowd, it didn’t feel rushed. I took my time, walked around, admired the tombs (like Raphael’s), and soaked in the serene atmosphere.
