1.5 hours from Beijing! A 2-day, 1-night family trip to Xiong'an.

✅ I've been wanting to visit Xiong'an recently, so I took the kids there for the weekend. I didn't want to get too tired with two kids, so I decided to stay for a night. The family suite at the Xiong'an Sofitel Hotel was amazing! The room was large and well-lit.

✅ The hotel also provided toys for the kids, and they didn't want to leave the room! The service was great, and they even set up a small bed in the bedroom, so the four of us didn't have to squeeze together.

✅ I have to say, the buffet dinner was delicious! There was a wide variety of dishes, including hot pot, hairy crabs, oysters, eel foie gras, lamb chops, and salmon sashimi. Everything tasted great.

✅ There were also many kid-friendly dishes, such as noodles, millet porridge, sweet potatoes, and corn. Beer, wine, brandy, and various drinks were unlimited.

✅ The children's play area had a ball pit (suitable for younger children), a mini supermarket, rocking cars, arcade games, and claw machines. The kids loved it.

✅ The hotel had a gym, badminton, table tennis, tennis, and a swimming pool (with a small pool for kids). Adults needed to bring swim caps, and kids needed to bring their own swim rings. The hotel provided equipment to inflate swim rings.

✅ Nearby attractions included Yuerong Park (great for kids, with a nice environment), which was not far from the hotel, and Xinma Forest Animal Park (with animal interactions, a power playground, and climbing slides).

✅ The hotel was located behind a newly opened business service center (with a commercial corridor) and a mall with themed events. It was pet-friendly, with a panda IP. You could take a stroll if you had nothing to do.
