Saga, a city with a modest yet profound allure, offered a tranquil escape where time seemed to flow gently. Unlike bustling tourist destinations, the air and scenery of Saga itself enriched the meaning of the journey.
The first stop was Saga Castle Honmaru, which showcased a refined beauty rather than grandeur. The wooden structures and expansive gardens exuded serenity, while the exhibits inside the history museum unraveled the traditions and stories of Saga.
At Ureshino Onsen, immersing oneself in the clear and gentle waters allowed for a full experience of Saga's soothing atmosphere. The onsen, nestled in a small village, was unpretentious yet warm and genuine.
Another highlight was the Arita Porcelain Village. The intricate patterns on the ceramics displayed in every workshop alley reflected the artisans' craftsmanship, with each piece resembling a work of art. Holding a small teacup in hand brought forth the joy of travel.
Saga's journey was one of subtle charm, filling the heart not with the dazzling lights of a big city but with its quiet allure. It was a place where the slower you walked and the more leisurely you enjoyed, the more its true essence revealed itself.
