[Osaka] Sakai City, Otori Minamihahi Shrine

On the east side of the grounds of Otori Taisha Shrine is Otori Minamihahi Shrine, a sub-shrine dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami and Sugawara no Michizane.

The shrine was originally located in Kitaoji Village, but was moved to its current location in 1879.

It is listed in the Engishiki Shinmeicho, and is one of the "Five Great Shrines of Otori," with Otori Taisha at the top, making it a shrine with a long and distinguished history.

It is also said to be the shrine of Otori no Murajioyagami, the guardian deity of the area.
