Leaving St. Gilgen and returning to Salzburg. This isn't just the birthplace of musical genius Mozart 🎻, but also the hometown of conductor Herbert von Karajan, and a filming location for the classic movie The Sound of Music! 🎬🏞️

Salzburg's Old Town is dotted with many attractions, perfect for a city walk 🚶♀️🚶♂️. The only downside today was the weather – it was almost constantly raining, though thankfully not too heavily. ☔

Mozart Square 🎵

In the center of Mozart Square stands a statue of Mozart himself, surrounded by buildings rich in classical charm. Look closely, and you'll find a golden sphere with Mozart's statue atop it! ✨

Mozart's Birthplace 🏠

In 1756, Mozart was born at Getreidegasse 9 (Grain Lane 9) in the Hagenauer Haus. Today, this very spot has been transformed into the Mozart Museum. 🏛️📖
