📞Hello Hello, can you hear me? Please respond.
The Ancient City has recreated the Assembly Hall of Wat Yai Suwannaram in Phetchaburi Province at half its original size, while still preserving its original beauty.
This hall is an example of Thai architecture from the Ayutthaya period in the 23rd Buddhist century, commonly referred to as the "Throne Hall of King Sua."
Originally located in the Grand Palace of Ayutthaya, King Sua later ordered it to be dismantled and rebuilt as an offering to Somdet Phra Suwanmunee, also known as Somdet Chao Taengmo (the Supreme Patriarch of that era), who was born and resided at Wat Yai Suwannaram.
Inside, the hall features vibrant and exquisite mural paintings, along with intricately carved wooden works on the lower level, making it one of the most complete examples of its kind.
The exterior offers stunning views, and visitors can enjoy free admission.
Traveling here is convenient via the BTS Skytrain. Get off at Kheha Station and take the Songthaew (Route 36).
