Returning to Japan on the same aircraft JA836J as the outbound flight 🇯🇵
The JAL counter at San Francisco International Airport was on the side, and the procedure was smooth.
I boarded from Gate A10 in the international terminal.

Fortunately, I was able to reserve bulkhead seat 18A in the front row of economy class in advance, and there was only one person on the other side of this row, so I was very comfortable 🙌
I don't like the fact that you can't see the monitor during takeoff and landing in the front row, but with a flight time of 10 and a half hours, this space is appreciated!

According to the captain, whose polite announcements were impressive,
the route that day was to rise to 57 degrees north latitude to avoid the westerly winds.
*9 flight attendants and 126 passengers (186 seats in total).

The in-flight service flow was the same as on the outbound flight,
with drinks and snacks served about an hour after takeoff,
and the first meal served about 30 minutes later.
The grilled chicken bowl I chose was quite tasty, and I was also happy that the soba sauce was a jelly-style sauce☺️
After the meal, I had the usual Häagen-Dazs, but it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't a JAL-exclusive flavor.

The second meal, served about an hour and a half before arriving in Japan, was an American-style Margherita pizza🍕.
Is that supposed to be the case? There was no arugula though 😅

I left the US early in the morning Japan time,
so I slept less to avoid jet lag,
and watched movies and dramas with my eyes full 😆

As expected, Japan Airlines is comfortable and safe,
so you can spend a pleasant time on board✨
