Sanya's 5-star hotels for just over 300 yuan

Sanya is probably the city with the highest concentration of 5-star hotels, offering a wide range of price options.

For some reason, this Wyndham hotel was built at the foot of Luhuitou Mountain, at the estuary of the Sanya River - in a rather awkward location. Although the surrounding area is a bit run-down, it's less than a 10-minute taxi ride to Dadonghai. Once the tunnel across the Sanya River estuary is completed, it will only take 5 minutes to reach Sanya Bay.

Despite its less-than-ideal location and surroundings, the hotel offers exceptional value for money. At just over 300 yuan on weekdays, it includes a swimming pool, a children's play area, fish spa, and sand pit. Kids don't mind the slightly smaller rooms or lack of bathtubs at all.

Compared to the nearby Crowne Plaza (which has a slightly better location at similar prices), this hotel's rooms are slightly newer and feature a heated pool open until 9 pm - perfect for kids.

The restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and hot tub, with just a few steps down to the children's playground. While waiting for food, kids can play wildly in the playground and come back when meals are served - one advantage of smaller hotels being less crowded, more convenient and safer.
