Forest Bathing on Hainan Island --- A Must-Read Guide Before and After Staying at Sanya Bird's Nest Resort

A truly unforgettable accommodation experience, not only because of being immersed in the tropical rainforest 🌵, but also due to the hotel's exceptional hospitality 🏵. Both the hardware and software are commendable, which compels me, even as a novice, to share my experience.

Here are some warm tips based on my personal experience:

1) The hotel covers a vast area, essentially located within a park. After checking in at the front desk, it is recommended to take the hotel's shuttle directly to your room. Self-driving is not advised as the mountain roads are steep with numerous hairpin turns, making it easy to get lost or confused 🦧.

2) The shuttle has a sealed compartment for luggage, but since the rooms are situated amidst trees and hills, it is not recommended to bring large suitcases. Although the staff is very helpful and polite in assisting with luggage during check-in and check-out, there are still many stairs. For everyone's convenience, if your stay is short, consider using a travel bag or backpack instead 🎒.

3) We originally booked a Cluster Villa, but the front desk staff kindly informed us that it was quite far and upgraded us to a Peacock Villa. The room design is circular ⭕️, with a circular layout and even a round bed. Initially, we were worried about adapting, but the stay turned out to be unique and enjoyable, making it ideal for families or couples.

4) Upon check-in, you will receive a stamped passport 🪪. Collecting six or more stamps can be redeemed for a ¥100 voucher for hotel expenses. A two-day, one-night stay is a bit rushed, allowing visits to three areas: the Mountain Top Park, Orchid Valley, and Suspension Bridge. However, the Cloud Top area is somewhat scattered. A three-day, two-night stay would be more relaxed, giving you time to collect stamps and discuss with staff. The ¥100 voucher can be directly used at the restaurant, which is very convenient 👍.

5) Breakfast is incredibly rich, with three types of Hainan-style rice dishes to choose from, as well as freshly made wontons. 🍇🍍🍌 There is a wide variety of fruits, drinks, and yogurts. The quality of the watermelon 🍉 and mango 🥭 is particularly noteworthy—very fresh, sweet, and delicious.

Summary: This is a fulfilling experience of both scenery and service 🫠. The hotel's various locations offer stunning views, and the hotel manager's warm hospitality, including inquiring about the stay and offering late check-out, makes you feel truly welcomed 🥰. The entire park is staffed with friendly and sincere employees, including the front desk staff, shuttle drivers, restaurant servers, resident singers, luggage handlers, and the staff at the petting zoo. Their professionalism and warmth leave lasting impressions, making them an integral part of the journey's memories. This, I believe, is the true essence of what makes the hotel unforgettable. ✨️
