Sapporo Nijo Market, one of Hokkaido's three largest markets, a paradise of fresh seafood🦀

I flew to Sapporo because they say Hokkaido seafood is the best!

Nijo Market, located in downtown Sapporo, is known as one of the three major markets in Hokkaido. They only handle fresh seafood airlifted in every morning. Since Sapporo crab is famous, you can see crustaceans such as king crab, hairy crab, and snow crab being sold.

There was no solicitation, and it was clean and orderly, so it was easy to look around. There are many famous restaurants in the market, so I recommend eating there, but waiting was a must during peak hours. Even so, it is a place where you can definitely taste fresh seafood, so please choose a restaurant that you like and visit!

After your meal, try Sapporo's specialty Yubari melon for dessert!
I was so happy to sit on a small park bench across from the market and enjoy dessert time in the warm sunlight :)
