Nijo Market (Nijo Market) Go on a giant crab binge in Sapporo.

Foodies, don't miss out! If you're in Hokkaido, you'd be remiss not to try a crab! Nijo Market, Sapporo's kitchen, opens early in the morning. It's a seafood lover's paradise, offering "real freshness, no lie."

Crab Kingdom

This is the kingdom of crabs. Hokkaido King Crab, Hairy Crab, and Snow Crab are all lined up for you to choose from!

A tip: browse through several shops, try some (some even offer tastings), and choose a fresh crab from the live tank and have it steamed or boiled right there! It's truly amazing!

Kaisendon (Seafood Rice Bowl) Overflowing with Toppings

It's not just crab! You must try the Kaisendon (Seafood Rice Bowl), a seafood rice bowl with overflowing toppings that you can't even see the rice!

Must-Try the Uni (Sea Urchin) and Ikura (Salmon Roe) here are incredibly fresh and sweet! It was the most amazing breakfast I've ever had! (I recommend going early, around 7-8 AM, to get the freshest produce and avoid the crowds.)

Authentic Japanese Market Vibe

Even though it's in the city, the atmosphere is lively and fun. The vendors are full of energy, inviting you to try everything along the way.

Perfect location, super easy to get to, right in the heart of the city, just a 5-10 minute walk from Odori Park!
