Sapporo Clock Tower (Sapporo Clock Tower)…an old antique clock tower

Another landmark of Sapporo is the old wooden building with the oldest clock tower in Japan and the oldest Western-style building in the city. This beautiful building is located in the city center and is easy to get to. The building was built in the early days of Sapporo Agricultural College (currently Hokkaido University). The ground floor of the building displays the history of the clock tower and its surroundings, along with a cute souvenir shop. Before going up to the large hall on the upper floor, there is a giant clock that opens inside for us to see. There is also a corner to take pictures with the statue of Dr. Clark, the founder of this place, to check in. If you visit Sapporo and have time, try checking in at this famous building.

P.S. There is a popular photo corner. Climb the small stairs to take pictures from the side of the clock tower.
