The Hitsujigaoka Observatory itself is located at a high position, so you can see all of Sapporo and the view is great.

The Austrian Pavilion, with its distinctive mountain hut-style triangular roof, was built for the Sapporo Olympics and moved to Hitsujigaoka Observatory after the Olympics. There is a souvenir shop and a rest area where you can enjoy original soft serve ice cream and light meals. Jin-kun, the Genghis Khan mutton, happened to be visiting.
