# Hitsujigaoka Observatory #Clark Statue #Sapporo

Hitsujigaoka Observatory is a popular spot around Sapporo. Many people have probably seen it on TV or the Internet, and it is where the Clark statue is located.

I was surprised when I found out that there was an admission fee due to my lack of research (530 yen for adults), but the spectacular Clark statue, the view of downtown Sapporo beyond it (although it was raining that day so it was hard to see), materials on the Snow Festival, a history museum, and a great selection of souvenir shops make it well worth the admission fee.

There is also a parking lot, so if you come to Sapporo, be sure to stop by!
