🍻 A Cheers-Worthy Experience at Sapporo Beer Museum

We visited the Sapporo Beer Museum while in Hokkaido and had a great time. The museum is located in a beautiful old red-brick building that gave the whole place a nostalgic charm. The self-guided tour was informative and easy to follow, offering a look at the history of beer brewing in Japan and how Sapporo Beer became one of the country’s most iconic brands.

But the real fun began at the end of the tour with the beer tasting. We tried the three-beer sampler set, which included the Black Label, the Hokkaido-only Classic, and the Kaitakushi beer. Each one had its own character, but the Classic stood out—smooth, flavorful, and something you can only get in Hokkaido. Everything was served fresh, with a perfect foamy head that locked in the aroma.

There was a cozy, retro vibe in the tasting hall with brick walls and a laid-back atmosphere. It felt like a perfect place to unwind and sip something cold after learning all about beer.

Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Sapporo—even if you’re not a huge beer drinker, the tasting experience alone makes it memorable.
