A Beautiful Resort-Style Ryokan in Jozankei, 'Hanamomiji'

Travel Diary Japan 19 - Sapporo Edition

šŸ“Hanamomiji

When visiting Sapporo, many people often head to Noboribetsu for its hot springs ā™Øļø. However, there’s a closer option: the town of Jozankei, which also boasts numerous hot spring ryokans.

Today, I’d like to introduce you to šŸHanamomiji, a luxurious resort-style ryokanā˜ŗļø. It offers a sumptuous dinner, beautifully designed rooms, and charming relaxation spaces scattered throughout the large bath and hot spring areas. It’s a place you’ll want to revisit, especially during a winter trip.

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and it was worth every penny. The quality of the large bath and the ryokan itself was exceptionalā„ļø. There’s even a small shop for light souvenirs inside, and although it’s in a secluded location, a convenience store is less than a 10-minute walk away. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and do absolutely nothing😌.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take a break from their busy daily life.

šŸšŽHow to get to Hanamomiji from Sapporo Station

Take the Hanamomiji shuttle bus from Sapporo Station and get off right in front of Hanamomiji (free, reservation required on their website).
