Wat Khao Wong (Narai Cave)

Wat Khao Wong (Narai Cave) is an ancient and historically significant temple located in Khao Wong Subdistrict, Phra Phutthabat District, Saraburi Province. Its history dates back to the reign of King Narai the Great, who once stayed overnight at Narai Cave. Additionally, King Songtham also visited this site to pay homage to the Buddha's footprint.

🪨 Narai Cave: The main highlight of the temple, featuring stunning stalactites and stalagmites, as well as ancient inscriptions from the Dvaravati period. ☆ It is believed to be a place where King Narai the Great once stayed overnight.
🎖 Wat Khao Wong has been registered as a historical site by the Fine Arts Department. The temple grounds are home to rare plant species such as Mok Rachinee and Chan Pha, as well as rare animals like the red-whiskered bulbul and albino squirrels. This makes it a peaceful and shady location. Another unique feature is the lava stone Buddha head, which appears to follow visitors as they walk by, making it an intriguing and "Unseen" attraction of the temple.

The temple is open to visitors every day.
