This morning, we left Chiang Mai city and spent about 40 minutes going to Wat Sri Don Moon in Saraphi District. This temple has been famous for a long time, especially for the golden face ceremony and the sacred power of Luang Pho Phet.

We arrived early in the morning. The weather was still cool and comfortable. The soft sunlight and the peaceful atmosphere of the temple made us feel very relaxed.

We started by paying respect to Luang Pho Phet, the sacred Buddha image of the temple. It is believed that whoever pays respect will receive the power of loving-kindness and good fortune.

The surroundings of the temple are beautifully and grandly decorated. The architecture of the temple is a combination of Lanna and Burmese, with beautiful gold patterns. Some corners make us feel like we have traveled to Burma.

What Wat Sri Don Moon is famous for is the “gold face ceremony” by Khru Ba Ariyachat Ariyachitto, who is highly respected by people all over the country for his sacred power and psychic power.

However, due to limited time, we were not able to join the ceremony this time.

Even though it was a short visit, I felt very blessed. I was able to pray, pay respect to the Buddha, and walk around the temple in peace.
