🌊 One Day Trip Koh Kham
If anyone is looking for a clear sea without having to fly far from Bangkok, Koh Kham is the answer! We went there and we can say that we were very happy because we can visit in one day and it is not difficult to travel.
Starting from Bangkok, it took about 2 hours to arrive at Sattahip. Then take a songthaew to Khao Ma Jo Pier and then take a boat to Koh Kham. The ticket price includes everything at around 300 baht (for Thai people) including a songthaew from the ticket booth and a round-trip boat. The boat trips are from 9 am to the afternoon. If you want a good trip, we recommend going early because there are a lot of people.
We came during the rainy season. The sky may not be very clear, but I can tell you that the water is still very clear. You can see that if you come when the weather is good, it will be extremely beautiful. On the island itself, there are many things to do, such as
Snorkeling to see coral
Laying a mat to sit on the beach
Taking pictures
It is not very big or magnificent, but it is quiet and the sea water is emerald green. Anyone who wants to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city can refresh themselves for just one day.
It is recommended to bring food, drinking water, and essentials with you because there are not many shops on the island. However, there are areas to sit and relax, eat, and take it slow, as if time has slowed down.
Overall, we think that Koh Kham is a hidden gem near Bangkok that you must try to visit at least once. 💙
