With the free time and the scorching hot weather in Thailand, what could be better than a trip to the beach? But just going to Bang Saen or Pattaya might seem a bit boring. So, let's take it up a notch and take a boat to 'Koh Kham' in Sattahip District.
Let's start with arriving at the ticket booth at 7 AM (I went on a weekday), but the ticket sales start at 8 AM. No worries, it's better to be early than late. The ticket price is 250 baht, which includes shower service and mat rental.
*For those who want to snorkel, you can rent the equipment for just 50 baht per set.
After getting the ticket, get ready to board the boat. Here, walking is the main activity. There's a wooden bridge path to walk and enjoy the great atmosphere with a cool breeze. There are also spots for snorkeling and kayaking. But today, I'm just here to chill on the beach, enjoy the breeze, and take some photos. Oh, I forgot to mention, there are also learning spots and other activities here. If you're interested, check out the island's website. It's mentioned in the last paragraph.
As for the return boat schedule, there are frequent trips back. It's best to check the exact schedule (I've included it in the last picture).
Finally, I recommend Koh Kham in Chonburi for those who want a nearby trip with a different atmosphere and low expenses. You won't be disappointed.
